If you ask people about superbikes, then the Kawasaki H2 will definitely make its way to the top leaders of the sensational models. All Kawasaki H2 models now automatically grab attention thanks to the success of their sporty version.
The new Z H2 hypernaked is considered the first mass-produced supercharged naked. This is also indicated by the “River mark” emblem located on the headlamp fairing.
What is known about him, why is he so interesting?
A minute of history
The H2 model, new for Kawasaki, was announced back in 2014, and in 2015 it was already possible to buy a racing version of the H2R with a capacity of 310 horsepower.
On June 30, 2016, an unofficial world speed record was set on a stock H2R. Five-time World S SP champion Kenan Sofuogl, whose fate cannot be called easy, accelerated the bike to 400 km / h in 26 seconds, which is a record for a production motorcycle. The test site was the Osmangazi Bridge, which is located in Turkey in the Kocaeli province and is the fourth longest in the world.
In 2019, a teaser appeared on Kawasaki’s YouTube channel that literally blew up the motorcycle community, heating fans’ curiosity to its highest boiling point – the Z H2 hypernaked was announced.
The challenge for Kawasaki was not just to make a fast bike without plastic, but a naked bike that would not be super expensive compared to what could be done in principle. Therefore, there are little things in it that allow the motorcycle to enter the price category, for example, the suspension is manually adjustable, a decent weight. The second goal was convenience and this goal has also been achieved.
The Kawasaki Z H2 has not yet been published, but has already acquired catchy nicknames, one of which is “fury in the cage.” This name was given to him for the engine restrained by a cage frame. Experts immediately spotted the features of the Ninja H2 in it.
The engine there is based on the Ninja H2 SX. In fact, we see a 998cc inline four-cylinder engine. see with 16 valves, which produces 147 kW and 200 horsepower. Liquid cooled engine. The power of the engine in relation to its weight and dimensions is achieved by the efforts of a mechanical supercharger. Aspiration significantly changes the alignment for the better. To be honest, the engineers used simple and most effective solutions for intake and exhaust, which gave this animal traction on the exhaust.
The engine is mated to a six-speed dog-ring gearbox. Naturally, for convenience, a quickshifter is provided – shifting gears in both directions without using the clutch at engine speeds above 2500 rpm.
The release assist slip clutch helps reduce reverse torque to prevent the rear wheel from locking during downshifts. According to the manufacturer, all this together facilitates the main work of the motorcyclist.
And to make everything as accessible as possible, Kawasaki has provided a wide package of electronically controlled systems, for example, KTRC, KCMF, KIBS, as well as an IMU that transmits data on the exact position of the chassis to KIBS and KTRC.
Then the cage
Kawasaki believes that the best base for naked is a compact frame. Looking at the Z H2, the frame is truly original, built from the ground up specifically for this project. She kind of hugs and wraps around the engine. Steel birdcage – Trellis.
The photos show the exhaust system. Manufacturers tried to make it lighter, although it still looks voluminous. Ergonomic and minimalistic
The motorcycle concept is influenced by minimalism, and reflects the design of “Sugomi”. Leaning the bike towards the front wheel is a typical naked and aggressive riding geometry. The asymmetric inertia air intake on the left side is noticeable. The wide 19-liter tank is narrowed towards the seat to make it easier for the driver to squeeze it with his knees.
By the way, not only the suspension is regulated, but also the steering wheel. Yes, here are not the clips installed, but the steering wheel! All this splendor weighs 239 kilograms. Fuel consumption is from 5 to 7+ liters per hundred kilometers, depending on how to “heat”, of course. And on such a monster you want to “drown” all the time!
The motorcycle is available in several colors. At the same time, on sites the price of the issue depends on the color. A typical black with a green frame will cost about 1,701,000 rubles, and a black with a red frame will cost about 1,647,000 rubles.

In general, against the background of attempts by Kawasaki to make a quality, fast, comfortable and smart motorcycle, they still achieved value for money. Still, note that it weighs 239 kilograms, which is a lot. If it was light, if it was made from even more expensive components, the legend would have cost absolutely exorbitant money.
