Global sales of MV Agusta in the first half of 2021 reached a solid position: 1,753 units of motor vehicles were sold, which is 31.8 percent higher than those sold in the corresponding period last year. Against the background of the results of the first half of 2019, the increase was 20.8 percent.
Surprisingly, most of the premium motorcycle manufacturers are doing well in the coronavirus era. Ducati, BMW, Triumph, according to the results of the first half of 2021, can boast of new sales records, once again confirming that the demand for rare and high-quality motorcycles is not weakening. As for MV Agusta, after a successful 2020, in which, despite the coronavirus crisis, sales grew by more than 20%, the legendary Italian manufacturer plans to back up the success with an ambitious reorganization of the company.
Results of the first two quarters
In general, the results of the first two quarters are positive, but in Western Europe, the main market of MV Agusta (62% of all sales), the results of the first half of the year differ from region to region. So, surprisingly bad sales were shown by Germany (-8.8% from last year’s level), while Austria showed an increase of 25.1%, in Italy the growth was 32.1%, but France (72.4%) and Spain (86.7%) provided a fairly significant part of the overall sales growth. The rest of the markets have seen moderate sales growth, excluding Latin America. Here MV Agusta sales are 12.4% lower than in the first half of last year.
