Yamaha’s global sales are growing, reaching 2.13 million units in the first half of 2021, up 31.3 percent from the same period in 2020, but 18.7 percent less than in the first half of 2019.
All months of the first half of the year, except for February, showed an increase in comparison with the corresponding months of the last year. In the first quarter, over 1.1 million units were sold, which is 10% more than in the first quarter of 2020. In the second quarter, sales were less than a million, but the growth against the background of the second quarter of 2020 turned out to be a colossal 71.9%.
The most important market for Yamaha, Indonesia, showed an increase of 41.5% in the first half of 2021, Vietnam – 15.2%, and the Philippines – 49%.
